GENERAL IDEA?  WE GOT IT!

California cool meets Riviera chic

Inspired by the beauty of the Tropezien beaches, located along the coast of Southeastern France, Bumsuk Choi presented an exciting collection of bright colors and bold patterns for Spring.  “The use of orange and mint in this collection translate into the colors of the sunset,” said Choi. The presentation began with a black and white short film featuring cheerful young men playing on the beach in 1920’s styled swimwear. The collection evokes a new California cool fused with a contemporary update on classic “preppy” wears. Choi masterfully blends preppy-beach–cool with bad boy elements (think James Dean) such as the black leather vests and motorcycle jackets adorned with white patchwork and austere zippers. Highlights of the lineup include exquisitely tailored jackets with high collars and elastic waists in the various colors of the Saint-Tropez sunsets. The knit navy sweater with a single white, horizontal stripe against navy knit shorts finished in layers of thin white stripes, could serve as the perfect attire for cool nights on the beach with friends around a bonfire. Choi balanced stripes against checkered patterns with blazing colors for long and short-sleeved button down shirts. Choi’s clothes are energetic, undeniably cool and wearable.
